Product Overview

Heat Shield Curtains are flexible thermal protection systems designed to isolate high-temperature areas and reduce radiant heat transfer within industrial facilities.

Unlike conventional industrial curtains, LXHTR heat shield curtains utilize a reinforced multi-layer structure combining metal wire mesh with high-temperature insulation materials such as ceramic fiber fabrics, ceramic fiber blankets, carbon fiber fabrics, and other thermal protection materials.

This combination provides outstanding resistance to heat, abrasion, and mechanical stress while maintaining flexibility for daily operation.

Core Design Features

  • Metal Mesh Reinforcement — The outer structure is reinforced with metal wire mesh to improve mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, and long-term durability in demanding industrial environments.
  • High-Temperature Insulation Core — Insulation layers can be selected according to operating conditions, including ceramic fiber fabric, ceramic fiber blanket, carbon fiber fabric, and other high-temperature materials.
  • Lightweight Flexible Construction — With a typical thickness of only 5–10 mm, the curtain remains lightweight and easy to operate while providing excellent thermal protection.
  • Modular Panel Design — Individual curtain panels can be manufactured in custom widths and heights, simplifying transportation, installation, and maintenance. LXHTR Heat Shield Curtains are manufactured using modular curtain panels, typically 1000 mm wide, which are securely joined together to form large thermal barrier systems.
  • Heavy-Duty Industrial Hardware — High-strength mounting rings, stainless steel hooks, guide rails, and support structures ensure reliable operation under continuous industrial use.

Installation Methods

  • Hanging Rod System — The curtain is equipped with reinforced mounting holes along the top edge. Metal rings are installed through the holes and suspended from a fixed horizontal support rod. This installation method operates similarly to a traditional curtain system and is suitable for fixed thermal barriers, maintenance zones, and areas requiring simple installation.
  • Sliding Rail System — For large industrial openings, the curtain can be installed on a sliding rail system. The curtain panels are attached to L-shaped steel support bars, which are connected to heavy-duty rollers running inside an overhead guide rail. This allows the curtain to move smoothly and efficiently across large openings while maintaining excellent thermal protection. The sliding system is particularly suitable for furnace entrances, workshop openings, loading bays, and equipment access areas.
